• DO NOT EAT or DRINK ANYTHING AFTER MIDNIGHT THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR SURGERY (this includes water, gum, mints).

• You may brush your teeth, rinse and spit.

• If you take blood pressure medication, you can take this the morning of your surgery with a sip of water.

• If you are a diabetic, please DO NOT take your diabetic medication the morning of surgery.

• DO NOT wear nail polish on the surgical foot.

• Bring your insurance and identification cards with you.

• If you have an Advanced Directive bring it with you on surgery day.

• You will need a responsible adult to drive you home, and someone to stay with you for 24 hours after surgery. 

• Wear loose, comfortable clothing,  

• Please leave jewelry and valuables at home.

• Make sure you and your family are healthy with no colds or infection.

• You will receive a call the business day before your surgery to confirm instructions and answer any questions you may have.

• Fill your post-op prescriptions before your surgery day so that you don’t have to stop at the pharmacy after surgery.
