      Dear Dr. Byrne,

Thank you so much for meeting with me and taking sincere interest in the well-being of my foot/knee. I know soon I'll be hitting the (sprint!) triathlon scene because of you! Thank you also so much for providing me with the free orthodics. I am so grateful for you and your services. Thank you again for everything.

      Best, Kristina

P.S. Thanks for treating Amanda well! She always talks very highly of you and your practice :)

      Dear Dr. Byrne,

Thank you for so much for doing my surgery on my foot.  My foot looks really good now and I can run and walk.  You were the nicest doctor I have met! Hope you are good! And well!

      From, Micah C.

    • You all participated in a great feat :) I am having NO PAIN in my feet! We have been able to do many of our favorite hikes. Yesterday 4 miles! What a relief it has been to be able to walk pain-free, after ~5 months not walking at all.

      -Eloise

    • Dr. Byrne,

Thank you for your persistent approach in caring for Jim these past 17 months. We are grateful for your professional and skillful care you have given him. We appreciate the conservative as well as the very straight forward, tough approach. Thank you for including the additional doctors to help with Jim’s care. Thank you for looking at the whole Jim and his quality of life!

    • Dr Byrne and Staff,

Thank you for your kindness and generosity! Words cannot express how thankful I am! So happy and grateful to be under your care.

      -Debbie M

    • Dear Dr Byrne,

The pumpkin muffins are a “Thank you” for your perseverance in treating my foot. Words are inadequate to express the level of my gratitude for your care and expertise in “fixing” me. But maybe the fact that I actually baked these muffins in a 400 degree oven on a 104 degree day will give you some idea Smile

      -Kris B

    • Dear Peggy and Carrie,

Thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism during my care with Dr. Byrne. Without your help I could not be navigating my recovery. Carrie, I especially appreciate your willingness to go that extra mile to get my physical therapy started. It can be discouraging making phone calls that go nowhere. You really saved the day for me. I mean it when I say, “You both inspire me to do my job the best I can.”

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

      - Teri W

    • Dr. Byrne

    • Dr. Byrne

It has been on my mind to write you a note for too long. Finally I am! The other day I ran 9 miles and at the end realized that I had no pain. I even forgot my foot/toe had been a problem. It’s been a year and it’s so good I wanted to let you know. Amazing to me! Thank you again,

      -Maryanne.

    • Dr. Byrne,

I am rarely inclined to write a doctor after an office visit; my visit to your office on December 2, 2011 is an exception. The contact with your receptionist left me with a positive feeling. I did not (as often happens) feel that my appearance at her counter interfered with her work… There were no television screens blaring nor canned music in the waiting room; just the soft gurgle of the fountain. The magazines were not about guns, geriatric health or babies…You most likely were harried but it never showed; you treated me as if I were the only patient you had and seemed willing to take as much time as necessary to go over whatever needed to be discussed….on a hectic day you (and your staff) remained calm and attentive to your clients. You were engaged as well as humorous, and illustrative in your diagnosis….you office is what the majority of medical offices are not: user-friendly. I commend you for having crafted such a relaxed/professional ambiance.

      –Katherine S

    • Dr. Byrne,

Thanks to you I can play tennis. Not too many doctors would take the time to do what you did. It is much appreciated.

      -Mark C

    • Dr. Byrne,

Thank you very much for taking such good care of Gina over the last several months.  I'ts been a comfort knowing that Gina is in good hands.  Your experience, skill and advice during her surgeries, consultations and followup appointments is truly appreciated.  Thank you also for such a wonderful staff.  They were always professional, friendly and helpful.

      -Steve & Gina

    • Dr. Byrne,

I wanted you to know how pleasant you and your staff have been to work with so far. We have me penciled in for surgery in SLO on 11/30. If everything goes well I’ll be hitting the slopes in February as planned. I look forward to my surgery so I can be out of pain. Thanks again for your advice and for having such a friendly and helpful staff.

      -Tara

    • Dear Dr. Byrne,

I am writing to express my gratitude and delight to you and Travis for my recent treatment on my ankle. As you may recall, I came to you last fall with extreme pain and frustration over the diagnosis and treatment from others before you. Frankly, I was beginning to believe my mobility would be greatly limited for the remainder of my life. That can be devastating for someone as active as I am.

To add to my frustration and sadness, my 14-year-old granddaughter, whom I adore, invited me to be a chaperone on her Los Olivos 8th grade trip to New York, Amish Country, Gettysburg and Washington, D.C. I reluctantly agreed but was not sure I would be physically up to it.

Thanks to your diagnosis and care, I went on the trip and enjoyed every minute pain-free. We walked for miles up and down hills, climbed countless steps, stood in lines for long periods. I not only kept up with group, I was successful in setting the pace for many of the parents who were young enough to be my own children. The only glitch in the whole trip was when I set off the security lights at all the museums and government buildings. After I explained my brace, I was passed through the gates. After a bit, it became a joke for the teens as they teased me about my illegal contraband.

This trip will be a wonderful memory forever and I am eternally grateful to you and Travis. You helped make it possible.
      With deep gratitude,

      – Leda (Polly) E

    • Dear Chris,

    • Dear Dr. Byrne,

I would like to thank you for doing such a terrific job on my surgery. You are an outstanding doctor and person and I have implicit trust in your care! (Coming from a nurse!) It doesn’t look like you need anymore patients but I will still recommend you to everyone I know. I have big plans for these feet of mine this year and hope to send you a card from my Machu Picchu trek. Thank you so very much.

      – Karen B.

    • Dear Dr. Byrne,

    • Dear Dr. Byrne,

You are awesome! You saw Todd on Monday, today is Wednesday and his toe is almost healed! Today when I looked at it I was shocked – it looks great. Between your expertise and the antibiotic, we no longer worry about infection. Thank you dear one.
      God Bless,

      – Jennie B

    • Dr Byrne,

I just wanted to say “Thank You” for your expertise in giving me back the use of my foot. I really appreciate the kind and gentle manner in which you treated me at a time when I was in such pain and anxiety over what I was going to do. I’m so happy that I didn’t have to switch careers this late in the game and I owe it to you. I’m reminded daily not to take for granted the use of my feet and wanted to give you a small token of my appreciation for your surgical and people skills.
      Thank you again,

      – David I

    • Dear Dr. Byrne,

I want to thank you for always having a solution for my “hurts” on my toes. I told the nurse at Dr. Herten’s office yesterday that I had my ingrown toenail surgically removed. She asked if it was painful and I told her I haven’t had any pain. She replied how great of a job you did. I really appreciate you, you are great!
      Sincerely,

      – Jannette S

      Regards,

      – Barbara S

On behalf of the College of Science and Mathematics and the students of Cal Poly, please accept our heartfelt appreciation for taking the time to speak to our SCM 101- Introduction to Health Professions class. As a busy professional, we know that your free time is scarce, which makes your contribution even more meaningful.

For many students, this encouragement is more important than anything else.

Thank you for helping me out with my big toe problem. I appreciated your effort to get me into your office on last-minute notice during the holidays and make it possible to have the surgery we discussed. After our last meeting I considered more realistically the recovery time needed. On top of the holidays, we are opening a new office in Paso in two weeks. I will likely plan the surgery for Spring 2009.
      Thanks again,

      – Kirk C

    • Dear Chris,

I’m still dancing! What a wonderful evening we had in SLO with your Pink Martini friends. Thank you for sponsoring the concert and letting the symphony be “the band” – I know that the orchestra had a great time and Paul just sparkled! I picked up your very generous donation of 15 signed Pink Martini CD’s at the PAC today. Figuring $20 each, your donation to the symphony is $300. I already gave one to another big donor and will probably give one to Paul – beyond that you will probably get at least a couple to show up at the symphony auction and the youth symphony auction. Thank you so much! I hope you had a terrific time too.
      Gratefully,

      – Sandi S

      – Cal Poly

    • Dear Dr. Byrne and Staff,

You guys are the best! It’s kind of hard to say it any other way to express how I feel about the truly human care I received from all of you during my surgical experiences with you guys as well as my last injury. You guys were all right there in all the best ways possible every time I came in to the office or called. Seems to me that in this world too many people don’t take a minute to say thank you and show appreciation for the kindnesses shown them by other people. I don’t want to be “those” people. So, a great, huge, big thank you to all of you for making what could have been an unpleasant situation as pleasant as it could have been.
      Thanks again,

      – Darla R

PS. You will be getting all the referrals from me too!

      – Annabelle D
